Seeing her in Chicago was such a surreal experience... a dream, truly!
I remember someone on her team at the time mentioned that IF she were eligible to be put up for a Tony, she would've been and would've won... and I believe it! She was PHENOMENAL. She was Roxy.

I mean it does look corny. But so did Star and I tuned in every week, even before Brandy joined the cast. Empire is corny as hell but was a ratings monster the first 3 seasons.

And as far as Brandy's rapping goes, I think we can all agree she's good at it but she hasn't had many good "rap songs" so I can understand why people are kinda weary

I really don't care for Brandy's rapping. It seems like she's trying to impersonate a rapper rather than just having a natural flow. But I won't write her off. I am so happy for her.

I really hope Queen returns to Broadway soon. I know with the success of "Queens" that will without a doubt be a strong possibility. "Waitress" is returning this Fall with Sara Bareilles as the lead and I know Brandy was signed on to originally step in as well pre-pandemic so maybe that will materialize.

This prime-time soap from "Scandal" writer and executive producer Zahir McGhee centers on the members of an all-female '90s hip-hop group who attempt to mount a comeback in their 40s. Though the premise sounds similar to "Girls5Eva" — a comedy I didn't enjoy as much as others did — the tone and approach is decidedly different and boasts real-life hitmakers Eve and Brandy in its cast. Ha! God is funny as hell. All the empire and soap opera shade yet thats what its compared too. This will be a good look for brandy regardless what genre it is. I would like to point out everything's on tv has soap opera elements at this current time imo from reality to sitcoms.

Listennnnnn, you remember the behind the scenes stuff she was doing for YouTube during that stint? And family, other celebs would tell her how much they cried watching her.... Yeah that part!

At the end of the show, I was so full... and i don't know if I've ever cried like that in public lol. The water was heavy! 😭
