Unfortunately it may be too late for those trying to evacuate Louisiana ...as per CNN, the roads are at a standstill with traffic full of people who waited until the last minute and the airport is now fully shut down.
But thankfully HOT's mom is in the northern part of LA - not directly in New Orleans, so it won't be such a direct hit for her
I'm actually looking at the weather reports for northern parts of LA like Shreveport, and there are no active hurricane warnings
So kwee should be OK. But still should be prepared just in case Ida decides to continue voguing further north with decreased strength.
