Janet>
Whitney can go, amazing voice, mediocre music.

Not Mariah being a derivative of Whitney and Aretha and Janet being one of Michael and Prince  :dead:

I'll start

shoop
that Dolly Parton cover
That Chaka Khan cover
My Love
Those 2 Brandy did at the awards

damn I'm drawing blank at this point

- It's Not Right But It's Okay
- Million Dollar Bill (she released this during her final years)
- I Wanna Dance With Somebody
- How Will I Know

Also, I actually loved a lot of her songs on The Bodyguard soundtrack. "I'm Every Woman" & especially "I Have Nothing" :stressed:
Heartbreak Hotel
My Love is Your Love
All The Man
Run To You
So Emotional
I Believe In You & Me
You Give Good Love
Savin All My Love

Oh y'all like ballads huh.

Eh.

So when I put it like that, y'all gotta see it. Ain't no way.

Because WITH a whisper, Janets overall give slays Whitney's musically. And that's where my contest lies, y'all trying to say Janet can go. Because

Runaway
I Miss You Much
If
Doesn't Really Matter
Let's Wait A While
Again
Pleasure Principle
That's The Way Love Goes
Funny How Time Flies
You Want This
When I Think of you
Anytime Anyplace
I Get Lonely
Escapade
All For You
Because of Love
Together Again

And these are just some that I actually like. She's has hits that I can't stand like Nasty, What Have You Done For Me Lately and Black Cat. But I can certainly go on. Janets music > Whitney's by far. She stays. Y'all might be letting that "the voice" thing cloud your judgement because it's clear. Shit

I don't agree with Jans shade but early Mariah was literally modelled on Whitney and she counts Aretha as a big influence vocally...

I'm sorry but yall are terrible.  Whitney's albums are good. they may not be YOUR type of music and that's ok.

it wasn't shade. Janet basically does the female version of Michael dance-wise
and has the Prince Minneapolis sound musically

I don't think it's fair to give a "successor" mess to a SIBLING. With the same genes and upbringing/influences from birth.

Janet did the Minneapolis sound for a few songs on one album album and her dancing is nothing like Michaels tbh
She's her own artist thus why she has more hits than either one.

I said Whitney because her music wasn't as great as her voice, she was definitely the singer and not the visionary artist like Janet or Mariah
They had a image/sound that they took forward every time.
Whitney was known as "the voice" groundbreaking voice, music? Eh.
