Brandy's shit always tends to reverse and smack you in the fucking face when you least expect it. So many people who skimmed through b7 and trashed it at first listen are gonna be lashed sooner or later.  :supluv:

!!!!!!

That's how i KNOW it's one of her most creative and risky projects in years. It's ok for people not to use at first(or ever) and Brandy said this out of her own mouth last year during the pandemic. I watched damn near every interview and she said "hey, if people don't like it at first, i hope they'll come back to it and like it"

She said something VERY similar in the Full moon era and i live :kii: it took me quite a while to realize that the album is literally a therapy session like Afro called it. Unbelievable

b7

And reading the REAL lyrics and catching all the clever metaphors she, Lashawn DANIELS AKA big shiz and Kaydence came up with .... Baby :kii: Lashawn never put his stamp on some bullshit. Ever. He always told Queen when something was basic or should be left in the trash

There's only 1 song I want a proper mixing explanation for and that's Unconditional Oceans... I need to hear from her mouth why she mixed that amazing song like that lol

lmao that song is awful, I don't see how some of y'all like it. Worst song on the album even worse than the dreadful High Heels and Bye Bipolar.
You are delusional. I don't understand how some of y'all can be fans of Brandy and not appreciate the topics and healing power of this song for her own mental state...its selfish.

b7 is something you have to sit with and really listen. This ain't twoeleven - that gave mixtape to me. A collection of nice songs. b7 is an EXPERIENCE. Again, just my opinion. Im not shitting on yours. It's just the questioning of her ear that im way iffy about. No ma'am. She's intentional and u know that king

THEE Lashawn Daniels approved by the way. The worst mixing of her career is on the Human album because she had no say so. You can barely hear all the work she put into her vocals and stacks. People going back and fucking with her work without her knowledge. No ma'am

Explain that Human part please, I need to get into it. I know some ppl say its loud and too autotuned etc but her voice is pretty forefront to me.

I'm still curious about the "B7" mastering. Like Brandy's ear is too detailed to have some those songs sound like they were mixtape-ish. :uhh: That really concerned me especially an artist of her caliber. The album ain't bad. It's most certainly grown on me but that mastering shit was a huge factor as to why I could not get in when the project dropped. I pray that the next project is mastered differently.
Its nothing to be curious about, the mixing was trash. Just because someone is Grammy nominated doesn't mean they understand Brandy's voice for every song. On Full Moon her voice sits perfectly, on a lot of songs that Brandy has done in her career, the average listener misses a lot of what she does because her voice isn't sitting properly.

It could have been intentional on Bran's part, but I trust her vocally, not when it comes to mixing. It could have had a much sharper and professional sound quality while also getting the message across and the interludes could have been used much better. Those 1st 8 songs are where its at and she brings it home with Love Again and Bye Bipolar. In between that, I wish she had taken more of a dreamy/optimistic "Good Days" route and Bran has those songs.

Where are the rest of the songs. "I Need Some Time" would have fit perfectly.

its not really about her lead vocals but the backgrounds and harmonies are what are NOT in your face like her recent project (i fucking love that about b7).

Everything is in your face on her recordings post Two eleven. Some don't use and i get that but yea. A lot of times there were parts that were drowned out and damn near silenced on Human and you'd have to dig and claw and reeeeally tune in order to hear some of the ghost vocals or simple 2-3 part harmonies that she makes sound so special

"Fall" is a perfect example of this. A lot of that is her fault though :dead: I'm not the delusional fan (all the time lmao) that would say otherwise. She wasn't as involved as she should have been and let a lot of people play with her vocals and all sorts of shit in the creative process

Rodney was right about a lot of that but it's old shit now so I'm good. I think most of the fans are proud of where she is today  2008 - hell, even 2016 seems like a lifetime ago.

The way she's evolved and healed is just so beautiful.  I LOVE the Human album by the way - more than TwoEleven :dead: a lot more, these days. But Two' has some amazing songs for sure

Glad i got the music on my first listens. Love brandy vocals and lyrics. And the themes and subjects most blacks shy away from.Camper still ain't all that good imo though. His beats are too samey for me. One long song.
IDK, Robyn's Back!!!🥂
