Ok for the Liy's in here, do you think Don't Know What to Tell Ya should've made the final cut?! I did and was fuming when I first heard it in the I Care 4 U album like how the fuck y'all left this off

This album was released so long ago.
And it was ahead of its time for sure..it's not a traditional timeless album so it's so impressive that these songs still sound fresh after so many years. I have trouble listening to some of the songs because I get sad we lost her, maybe if she was alive I would experience the album in a different way. Anyways, we need a resolution, more than a woman, try again to name a few..there are not a lot of artists who could do it and Timbo created some of his best work with her. Also some of Static's demos sounded so weird and were like sketches but Aaliyah knew how to translate them and create magic.

"I Refuse" is a beautifully arranged yet dramatic song, so I really have to be in the mood for it. It kinda makes me sad listening to the song, cause it reminds me of fall 2001 when Aaliyah's death really sunk in for me.

"U Got Nerve" was always just "meh" to me. But I don't hate it.

I used to love I refuse but these days with the news about Robert I can't help but think about her trauma. Sometimes you can hear the pain in her voice..I don't know. It's just very heavy.
