I agree and I have a strange feeling that if all of this is true, then she and Robert are still friends or at least, still communicating in someway. Dr. Oz asked Barry if he believed Aaliyah's mother took a pay out or received hush money from R. Kelly and he said, "No, he doesn't believe she would ever do that".

He said when he received the call that Aaliyah had died on the plane he spoke with Farrakhan and asked him if he could call God and he said, "No, brotha, I cannot do that". He then began to weep and Dr. Oz gave him a moment to gather himself.

He also said that he never wanted Hype to direct that music video and said so repeatedly but the mother insisted. He said Hype was/is a friend of R. Kelly and has directed several of his projects and that's why he said he was hired for Rock The Boat. And that's why he mentioned not understanding the hold R. Kelly had on his sister.

I never thought I'd see the day where one of them (Diane, Rashad, or Barry) actually speak on the mess. I just knew Barry would pre-screen this question out of all interviews.

Theres a criminal case going on, and more people could be on the hook. Barry just may be trying to absolve himself, even if he has to lie to do it. It's all too convenient, the timing. I never knew he had a degree in psychology. He's a manipulator.
