And I may be very removed from mainstream music these days but there's something about singing along to a song that's directly and purposely gay that I'm loving. It's like "this is for me". Like a black gay man on a track saying "he" or "him" is doing something to me in an amazing way.
it's direct. No wondering if it's got a girl or boy. It's like "no I'm gay and I'm singing about another man". Idk if I've had that connection with another artist not even Sam Smith.
