As a veteran artist I honestly don't think sales & hit singles matter. I don't think the general public holds them to that standard anymore. Outside of fans, nobody remembers or cares what Mary last album sold.

The goal should be to use what ever exposure you can get from the release to solidify your legacy and to set you up for other opportunities in the future. You really don't need a hit to do that, you just have to create moments.

Monica is in a really bad place right now in terms of her music. And believe it or not, I think that after versus she's feeling defeated. The bitch is scared to drop anything. That's the only explanation I can think of for her prolonging this and all these excuses. I thought Brandy used to have a lot of excuses. This girl got more excuses than a nigga going to jail. And we dragging her young from this day on out.

Brandy was vague when discussing new music over the years. She annoyed  us with "divine timing,"snippets and kept it pushing. Monica keeps selling the doves broken promises and pipe dreams.
