This song is so interesting to me cause you can literally hear her getting into her Full Moon sound, but she hadn't quite perfected it yet.

Also, i've never heard Brandy use this tone before or since - the closest is maybe Human. I don't know what she was on that day but she sounds fucking incredible.
Tbh this tone is very similar to the "I know now" & Another Day In Paradise tone to me... which i think were recorded around the same time? Someone fact check me on that

Ljdfdkmsa

but yea There was still a HINT of NSN but mostly Full Moon Tone on these three messes to me
!!!!!! I agree. Open is super unique and i see what he's saying but you're right

It had a hint of that Never say never tea. Rasp included

b7

That's why i just noticed a couple years back that there are two versions of another day in paradise
:plzstop:

I never knew this. She recorded an even more grown sounding one for the full moon album and it has more adlibs :kii: i guess she said no ma'am, i don't like that anymore

Harlem

Mannnnnn when I got a copy of the early version of Another Day In Paradise I was like WTF  :uhh: I was so used to the single/Full Moon Bonus version that then younger vocals were like no ma'am  :plzstop:

Brandy is so gifted and quite possibly in my opinion the most melodic singer of all time. She is literally one with the music. Open is yet another example of this.

Was playing this on the way to work
This morn'

This resurgence of Queen Brandy is something

:stressed:
it feels soooooo good

Like Unconditional said, Bran owning her masters is just another level of Queendom and allows us to get fed like never before. Labels be so slow footed with shit like this

Atlantic or the movie production company shoulda been made this available  :uhh: shout out to Brandy for finally moving like the icon she is these days
I know they said she got her masters a while back but is it confirmed? Do u know how she got it? Wouldn't she normally have to re-record or pay a nasty lump sum or sumthin
!!! Nah she confirmed

That's why chance the rapper had to call her and clear that i wanna be down sample and how they got in touch in the first place.

And that's why Atlantic records was uploading all of her material over a year ago and all the views and everything transferred over to her youtube channel. Back when she didn't own her masters, we saw in 2015 that Atlantic had her go back and record new vocals for "The girl is Mine", that UK record that had to be approved using Beyoncé's vocals as well as hers. They could've sampled the 1998 vocals but Brandy didn't own her masters then
OOH OK gotcha, thanks
I'm bossy/I'm the first girl to scream on a track

Didn't she say this was her favorite song once upon a time?
!!!!!

She said if she had to choose at the time in 2013. This interview in London i believe:

One of her best interviews of allllll time. This is the era after TwoEleven when she was very hoarse but churning out some pretty great vocals

What are we doing (Robert Glasper)

Conquer the world (Jessie J admitted she had to record her vocals all over again because she was stunned by what Brandy had done and she lowkey wanted to compete lol and she definitely slayed).

Do better (Chris brown)

I loved this interview. And thank you, Rig!
