I'm only telling you how MOST people think here. Not all. And honestly from our perspective, asking why anyone isn't researching African diversity is equivalent to asking why no one is researching European diversity or Asian diversity.

Where on the show is she portrayed as unattractive? she may be portrayed as desperate because she's looking to get married but not ugly. She's dating every week and has no problem finding a date. Alex Wek is OOGLY and aint no where near as cute as this girl

Brandy isn't light brown, herself, but she is the star character and definitely seen as the pretty ex boxers wife.  Jessica White was on there playing the pretty stuck up model. Zoe and her friends are seen swooning over the idea of Lupita becoming the face of Zoe cosmetics.  Yet you came up with this dark = negative perspective that isn't even there.  You see it that way because that's already your perspective, not because of how the show is.

The show is racist. Out of the 5 women in her meeting, the only 3 that even got to speak were white. Not them adding Marisol and Sing-Lu as some filler mess.
