Kinda glad I watched this ... more insight on their day to day lives and how much pressure it puts on them to deliver (no pun)

A lot of them aren't directly employed by Amazon and get no benefits etc . They're contractors for the most part

Moving forward I'm gonna try my best to order as much as I can at once so it all comes in one delivery as opposed to having a small package delivered on Monday then another small package on Wednesday and another on Friday etc - increasing the number of trips needed .

Seeing this young Black woman say that she waited til her deliveries were finished for the day to go get treatment in urgent care for a dog bite she suffered while delivering to someone's home ... it shows how much pressure they're under . And it kinda made my blood boil.

I might even find alternatives to Amazon altogether . I'm not feeling how intentionally hands-off they are with certain things all in the name of a bottom line .

Amazon is one of the worst places to work for, the complaints from warehouse staff to delivery drivers 
They get away with it because they outsource to a lot of recruitment agencies who make up their own rules so when shit hits the fan...Amazon can hold their hands up and act like they didn't know any better

I think it upset me the most that she still had a smile on her face while telling that story . Thinking of the burden it woulda placed on coworkers instead of just thinking of herself in that moment

I've been trying to avoid buying stuff on Amazon. I'm aware of their bad working conditions and I don't like how powerful they've become without giving back. Plus Bezos doesn't pay taxes.

And I also noticed they sell so much worthless trash now. A Wish tea.

im honestly thinking of other options ...a lot of companies are now offering a convenient two-day mess so it's no longer something super exclusive to Amazon

imma look into how other companies treat their employees and what deals they have with contractors, etc. im sorry , maybe if i didnt use the service SO much this wouldn't bother me but i use Amazon downe.

i need to know the person coming to my building at least once a week on average is being treated right.

at the very least imma decrease my number of orders from them.

i've heard of some of their mess before but this is just ridiculous. all of these people aren't lying about their experience.

But you're right, a lot of online stores have caught up to their shipping speeds
They've expanded so quickly in a major way their ethics are almost non-existant
The way anyone can set up shop and sell whatever BS on there now
