Miley's issue was never naked women appearing in rap videos with consent the way she did in wrecking ball. It was that lyrics in popular Rap songs and albums tend to be overtly sexist and demeaning towards women. Which is true. She even praised artists like Kendrick for their lyrically diverse material, so obviously she wasn't particularly Anti-Hip Hop. Miley don't care about no damn nudity

I agree that she was the wrong messenger because at the end of the day, she is a white woman that voluntarily took up space in a predominantly black environment, but what she said was 100% true. Black women have been saying this for 3 decades & it's crickets but as soon as Miley says the same all of a sudden all hell is breaking loose.
