Must be a purple moon, feel like one of those nights...

His label dropped him but apparently he is still recording music. In that big article there's one single line about it and his stans on Reddit were posting it as a separate thread (Rolling Stone article: Manson is working on new music ). Some of these fans completely ignored this book of allegations and posted it like that's all they got from the article.  :dead: His fanbase is :omgwatshappening: very optimistic..maybe they are used to scandals? Imagine reading the article and all you think about is 'yay new music!'  :dead:

His last release was the song with Kanye

Some fans feel like they should have known what they signed up for. Or that the abuse was BDSM..they are all gold diggers blah blah.

There is also this narrative that he is actually a very intelligent and sweet man. A man who cares about his fans and loves animals. They believe MM is just a persona and Brian Warner is misunderstood.

It might have to do with the fact that a lot of people who love him have gone through difficult times and his music helped them get out of the darkness.. (there are also women who have been abused themselves who stand up for him. It's really odd to see people claim 'but I know what abuse looks like and this is not it'). It's probably not just a MM thing, people don't want to see their heroes fall from the pedestal.

That's what I thought too. And it's also similar to what Rose described him as in her book.

But I literally haven't listened to his music again since these allegations came out and I don't think I could ever listen the same way. He's pretty much dead to me now.

It makes me wonder if he treated Rose and Dita von Teese in a different way. Because Dita for example admits he had problems with drugs but she never said anything about abuse. Maybe because she has a big career she was some sort of muse that was treated differently (or she just doesn't want to talk about it). But all of the other girls he dated afterwards all started dressing the same way and the same makeup as Dita. Past girlfriends said they had to change hair colors, wear pencil skirts, the pale face, red lip.

Bfnfnfnfnfnfnfnf a weird white ho it seems

In the 90s he was such a popular rock artist. He was controversial, he was called the anti-christ. He hated Christianity and he made some very dark music videos and songs. There were very creepy urban myths: about him removing ribs to suck his own d. A mystery video called 'groupie' that was never released because it was pure abuse.
There's a Reddit page where multiple people shared he would SA young girls or push them to have sex with him or his friends on his tourbus.

He was blamed for the Columbine massacre. Many believed his music and imagery were the reason for the murders. A lot of conservative Christian mothers were scared to death their children would listen to this man.

I don't know about the USA but in Europe he is still very well known. Not for new music but as a 90s icon. And for Rolling Stone to make this article and also admit they promoted him (basically enabled bad behavior) is a big deal.

Eminem as MM

In a way in hiphop Eminem was treated like MM..people/parents were scared of him especially early in his career. Em was trolling a lot, he had dark lyrics, controversy & shock. But at least Em had some humor.

People were shocked by the Devil shoes Lil Nas X created but compared to MM he is Disney.
