I love the laidback and chill vibe. I can see this version being a great heater before the album came out. One of those tracks used for mixtapes, clubs and played during the radio midday traffic mix.

It could be a bootleg though. The acapella of Turn It Up was released on vinyl the same year. Maybe some DJ used it and threw those rap parts in there too, along with the beat. Also, there are literally no production/writing credits, which are crucial for an official release.

I think it was a promo remix. Discogs said released in 2003 by Atlantic (while for example a Sticky remix was released as non label). That year they also released the normal version, edited version, acapella and instrumental. I think a DJ just mixed a couple of songs..and they released it to get some promo before the Afro release

This is fan made albeit decently done. It was probably made to be in LQ to mask the crossfading and EQ imbalances. And we all know that Brandy rarely repeats adlibs.
