I went and saw respect in the THEATER.  Did anyone else in here
The movie wasnt great and the acting was TERRIBLE.  she didnt deserve the award and her getting it is exactly why I cant respect these black award shows fully. Sometimes they give awards SIMPLY  because ur black and did sumn VS u actually being great

Listing reasons of why we Can't respect black shows but we use historically exclusionary shows like the Oscars to measure the merit of ones deservedness of other awards when it comes to Black talent?

it literally makes 0 sense.

If you stand against what appears to be unfairness or carelessness and use that to discredit the value and legitimacy of a platform that's completely understandable but just make sure you do it across the boards .

Don't allow one to keep its integrity in your books while completely devaluing the other .

I said on page 1 that I didn't see the movie so I can't lend my PERSONAL opinion on her performance just yet .

Not that my personal opinion or preference would make a huge difference in this matter .

I actually supported lil nas and bought his album and singles soon as they came out.

but that doesn't mean logic and reasoning escape me and doesn't mean I can't look at an entire situation objectively.

I don't pick sides I pick what makes sense to me.

Like I said , if the NAACP awards ain't shit neither the are the Oscars .
