Lionel was definitely protecting her. She needs artist development and a good label/manager. She will be a star and he knows it. She shouldn't even be on a talent show like this.

Exactly, they will always compare her to her grandmother. And that's fine if she gets a record label like Motown to coach her and give her the right producers. Just like Halle & Chloe started..give her some time to develop and help her get good music. Individual coaching> this talent show monster.

She's only 15 years old and not ready. If they let her continue she will lose somewhere along the way and she will be disappointed and heartbroken. It's easy to break someone. And then it's difficult to launch her as an artist because people remember failure. If she works on her music with the right guidance I am sure they can introduce her like a young India Arie or Alicia Keys.

I dont think she needs to be on American Idol though. Im sure she has connections and can easily get a deal through her family
