Meh, someone said (via youtube analytics) that 70% of his subscribers were women so
he said 75%
DAMN lolz. Even worse.
but he didn't use the word "subscribers" which is important because if we're talking about data and analytics we have to be specific.
i don't know what tool Al used to gather his data but he wasn't using the correct language in regards to YouTube (referring to "followers" - which is specific to Twitter or Instagram)
Semantics. Fundamentally, followers and subscribers are the same thing regardless of the platform. Girl you know this. You click the button to follow/subscribe to content creators you're interested in.
if you're introducing analytics you have to use the correct terminology.
no one should have to translate them . there should be no room to assume anything. this isn't opinion luv.
you're bringing up some report that wasn't even correctly articulated or presented...from an "expert" who sits on the same panel as someone like funky dineva and claudia from RHOA on YouTube . it's null and void on arrival.
but for fun, lemme entertain your mess for a second.
even IF he indeed meant subscribers, just because a group of people participated doesn't mean they were not exploited.
if you walk up to a homeless person and say , "here dance on camera for $5 hehe", and the homeless person takes the money and dances for you...were they not still exploited?
if you take your camera and tell a woman to list all the things she finds ugly about herself - letting her know you're gonna share it as a kii, and she agrees....then you post it online for shits and giggles as you told her you would, was she not still exploited?
sick of niggas tryna find ways to point the finger back at black women no matter WHAT the situation is.
not every person is woke enough to realize wtf is happening and why it's happening...and why they should NOT participate. but that does NOT make it ok to exploit them.
NOR does that specific PORTION of women who actually participated speak for or represent the larger black female collective.
as in, you can't use examples of females who did participate to HUSH those who are genuinely hurt and/or offended by it.
now does that make sense or fucking NAH
