As the host , she has to remain in complete control of HER show.

Think about it . What do we immediately think when we see someone snatching someone's mic?

It's a transfer of CONTROL. Wendy had to remain the ringmaster of her show at all times .

She may be messy but she's also very educated and professional in the ART of what she does.

You should never have to ask someone for your mic back on your own show . Not a good look.
