Quote from: Ulysses on January 01, 2023, 05:37:31 PMThere are a lot of good names on this list but there are a few that really shouldn't be there.

The list has Brandy but misses Monica. They got that right!

SZA, Lana and Rihanna have no business on there

And as much as Aaliyah has a beautiful STUDIO voice, she really shouldn't be sitting above some of those great names.

Oh, we also had a lil conversation about Beyoncé and Stevie shouldn't be in the same sentence when talking about singing but looks like they are back to back sitting HIGH on that list
That was about their music and artistry not their voices. Hence she's not on the AOTY winning Grammy list with him

Quote from: Black Ashkenazi on January 01, 2023, 01:56:34 PMafter reading what they're looking at it makes just a lil more sense.

this preface...they KNEW. sfnsfnfsnsfnfsnsfnfs

i checked for an explanation because im like it's no way they're looking into singing technicalities like control and range , etc.

QuoteBefore you start scrolling (and commenting), keep in mind that this is the Greatest Singers list, not the Greatest Voices List. Talent is impressive; genius is transcendent. Sure, many of the people here were born with massive pipes, perfect pitch, and boundless range. Others have rougher, stranger, or more delicate instruments. As our write-up for the man who ended up at Number 112 notes, "Ozzy Osbourne doesn't have what most people would call a good voice, but boy does he have a great one." That could apply to more than a few people here. and when ur talking about the "best singers"

i was about to say what the FUCK. why did they get it THIS wrong if we're talking about things in singing that can actually be measured and that are more technical?

I knew from the beginning it wasn't ranking singing abilities because the list would majorly be black bbbbbbnhhhh

But their rankings of voices is still dead wrong, cute top 10 tho.

Not them just tossing all of the big name niggers in the top 10, so y'all would finally shut the hell up, and then going right back to their usual mess from there. These lists are so ridiculous and irrelevant.
