honestly when i first noticed his valley boy-ish accent, love for skateboarding, and him holding up his lighter mixed baby like it was simba on the pride...something in my gut was telling me he was kinda ..... distant from black culture/people but i didn't wanna believe or even assume he was anti-black.

so i didn't bother to state my observations in the threads/convos about him as i felt it was irrelevant and would could have been an ambitious assumption.

but here we are. this comes as no surprise to me.

however, my heart still hurts for him cuz in these tweets he calls himself ugly, and he is insistent of it. even though he clearly was a very handsome man. but i get it.

the gorls are gonna rip him apart as this circulates but i feel this was a case of projection.
who knows what was said to him as a darker skinned unambiguous black boy/man.

he clearly wasnt that much of "kinfolk" himself it seems but what happened to him still was wrong

self-hatred is something he could have grown out of eventually or could have done the work to heal. but he was robbed of that opportunity

but yeah, i hope his mother never sees those tweets. for many reasons

self-hate often times is the byproduct of anti-blackness someone has experienced themselves

I'd say this rings true for him especially cuz he kept saying "I'm ugly". Don't know his life story but it wouldnt be far fetched to say he was most likely projecting .

But honestly I don't fault anyone ... especially black women for saying finding this out about him makes them lose a lot of sympathy .

People are still human at the end of the day and you still will be held responsible for ur own actions regardless of possible backstory . Not everyone's gonna sit and ponder the reasoning behind ur "hear ye hear ye I'm anti black yall" speeches .
