Why did I never get the Boy Is Mine reference

There's an old MTV news article that came out in the Fall/Winter 2001 where they interviewed Rodney and he was describing his upcoming work on Full Moon. I remember him mentioning "I Thought" was Full Moon's version of "The Boy Is Mine" and that it was going to be her anthem. It's a shame so many great songs never got the chance to reach their full potential as singles.

"We got this one song called 'I Thought,' it's gonna be her anthem. It's a flip off of 'The Boy Is Mine.' It's hot because it represents that new style I was talking about. We got some sick ballads like 'When You Touch Me' and 'Like This.'

This is the minimum she can do! We don't need any re-records or stuff. Just master any leftover sessions like Never Be, etc and give us a proper tour or concert w/ spot dates

Absolutely. When this came out I borrowed the album from a friend and their version had this song on it. I didn't know it was a bonus track. This song is just as magical as "all in me" and completes the ride that is Full Moon. It takes you somewhere else

I used to play this Stargate version a lot from the cds. "Full Moon" (Cutfather & Joe Remix) is a bonus track for the international digital edition and Japan.
