This album was released by Columbia right? I wonder what her contract looks like. I read Chloe and Halle signed a one million dollar deal for six albums (five years)..I don't know if that Parkwood contract has changed since there was a pandemic and Halle got her movie role. Beyoncé makes 15% of their profit.

Should it push numbers? Yes. Did anyone think it was gonna push numbers after 3 flop singles? Absolutely not. Maybe a Nobodi was waiting for the actual number, but no one else (who isn't an idiot) is surprised about this

Have mercy went platinum... I still don't see why she didn't include that song even if it was just for a better first week sales number

Let's just cut to the chase: Chloe just aint good as a solo artist.

Chloe x Halle worked cause Halle tames Chloe. Chloe doing songs like Do It, Forgive Me or Ungodly Hour on her own, she woulda just made everything so damn extra like she does now. Lyrically, she woulda found some way to make it cringy as fck as well. When they come together, its about female empowerment and the impact and overall sound just hits; Halle tones her down and they have a more clear direction and sound. She leans on other's input including her sister's. She needs more 'no' people around her.

Chloe's aura is just naturally forced too. She overdoes it to where even though her songs caters to male attention, she still doesn't even attract their attention at all like that. I remember her saying she recorded over 100 songs and if thats the case, and then you were sent back to record more songs and what we got is what we got, then its a wrap. I just dont see her bouncing back from this and there are no potential hits to give the album legs. Best of luck to her acting career.

Ya'll gotta give Artists time to grow and evolve. You could be right but Doja was "flopping" out of the gate as well, numbers don't always tell the story right away. Feels like many of us are harder on the Black american girls but go up for these UK groups and Tori Kelly's (they have corny ass lyrics too lol) as if they can do no wrong. Everyone has room to improve and a chance to be greater in my opinion.

Disagree. Maybe it feels like there's valid points in there because of the current results but they don't know her to say who her current audience is or exactly what she's trying to cater to. Lots of definitive statements in there as if they know her personally

The fact that Chloe is Bey's artist and she flopped so damn hard. 7 or 8 music videos and 10k. I know her label wants that money back. They snatching it all back from this tour of hers.

Parkwood and the label are two different entities.

That said, most of her faves had strong brand or image from the very start and the music was good. Chloe is talented af but her music doesn't reflect that.
