Wonder if actors' contracts were modified once streaming came.  She'll probably get a settlement this suit will likely ignite more actors to sue for their correct royalties.

That's why I think Mo is going to get a settlement & at the same time spark more actors suing. The writers are having the same issue as the actors.

Writers' royalty checks are remaining the same even when programming they have writing credits for get sold or licensed to streaming sites. That's one of the reasons they are on the verge of striking.  Netflix & other sites are paying big bags for a lot of their old content so the actors, writers, & directors if they get royalties deserve to get a piece of the pie IMO.

It really is unfair.

These platforms keep raising subscription fees and lining their pockets by runnin ads in the middle of all these old programs. All the people involved with the creation of these shows can't be getting much of anything from it all

They're not. And even when they air on tv the pay goes down to pennies after they have been reran a lot. That's why most stars negotiate special deals back then. No, they didn't predict streaming but they do offer a fee similar to something of a DVD sale. And if I'm not mistaken The Parkers was released on DVD so it's a chance she's getting a nice coin especially being EP.

It's not unfair. Do you know how many people bootleg these platforms? Sharing passwords( which they are finally cracking down on) etc. Paying under $15 a month for the entire library isn't bad. You pay more for one DVD in the store. They're losing money with these reasonable prices.  None of them are making the money you think they are.....

Why should Mo'Nique and the rest of the Parkers cast just 'take what they can get' while the shows creators and producers were able to settle? Clearly there is a precedent for this.
