Usher has done that. Just because he didn't literally write for the artist doesn't mean he didn't impact them.

But he signed Justin Beiber who became one of the biggest pop stars in the world
and he signed Rico Love who became one of the biggest R&B songwriters of the 2010s

He also has mentored and influenced guys like Trey Songz, Miguel, Eric Bellinger etc. each of those artist have spoken openly about his impact on them
