i do see people on social med' giving
"she looks X!"
"are you blind?! no she looks X!

"
"no she looks like a mix of X and X! idiots!"
"she's clearly X!"
like its a whole thing going on about it
and its kinda surprising to me
cuz to me she looks like a lighter skinned igbo/nigerian woman
shes clearly black to me. so its no surprise to me her dad is african-american.
but anytime people can sit and have that type of back and forth/discussion/debates over what you are
based on how u look
.....i wont say she has the experience of your everyday, unambiguous black woman.
its still important to make that distinction and not act as if she's a shining, perfect example of what "blackness" is.
as not doing so would contribute to the erasure of everyday black women who people won't sit around wondering/arguing about what they are when they see them.
she clearly benefits from things that others in the industry will not.
so in THAT sense...i will actually agree with sub-zero in saying that she's "just as black as cardi".
but in every other sense, princess come collect ur THANGS.
