So she hasn't been working on anything this whole time? Or has been working, but nothing came out better than this? This old mess.

I've read one of her fans said her mother was sick and she stopped everything to care for her...I don't know if it's true though

Ima be honest...I like Normani but her voice is so BLAND to me. There's very little character and uniqueness to it. All the vocally limited superstars did interesting things and had nice tones at the very least. She gives the same deadpan vocal in most of her songs.

On top of that, she doesn't have much of a personality. She wants to be this alluring artist so badly but none of the materials are present.

I agree. Her tone is undistinguishable. Janet, Britney, Ciara, u know its them when u hear them. And her enunciation is not very good either. Overall, I still like her voice though. On some songs, it works well. Like Checklist (tho I cant understand half of ghe lyrics) and Wild Side.

Why can't she just drop an EP with the songs she did with The Dream and Max Martin  guess she sticking to be a singles artist and doing features at this point

The Candy Paint song is very boring somehow..this could be a cute interlude for 30 seconds..I normally complain about songs being too short nowadays I don't think it's a good sign

candy paint is a great SKELETON. but I need the bass to get NASTY and I need some more presence from the high hats and some synths or keys in the mf background. like... what producer thought this track was completed ???
