He had more of an issue with VH1 airing the comment and the monkey sounds than he did with Erica actually saying them out of her mouth.

He also low-key said Spice looked like a monkey.

He also said Safaree kinda looks like a monkey, and I don't like how much time he spent dragging MTV for airing the mess instead of dragging Erica for saying it.

As a fan, I actually agree. He didn't even say anything wild here but in his tone I can tell he thinks Erica comments were "fair game".
