I love this! I always thought a Christmas album, covers album or gospel album would be a great idea for Bran. Just go into the studio and put those vocals down. I know it's a bit more safe than a new album, less pressure on her mentally probably as well.

This. It's like an Artist dropping an EP to feel safer or test the waters before dropping the main course. Jazmine was calling Heaux Tales an EP until she got the warm reception she's always deserved. There is so much pressure on these Artists at every turn.

I just hope they put the effort into it like a regular Brandy album and not the soundtrack to Brandy and Ray J a Family Business because this could/should be a knockout for Brandy. That Kelly Clarkson song that gets bigger ever year isn't that creative or unique sounding other than Kelly's great voice.

I want a midtempo or uptempo banger that could be played on top 40 radio. To so much of the public she disappeared after the 90s sadly and this would be a great way to raise her profile and reach, but I don't wanna get too excited.

Family Business wasn't really a Brandy project so i wouldn't worry about the quality being that low. Top 40 radio doesn't sound realistic but that would be nice! She's done a lot of great work since Family Business, almost 15 years ago.

If Frank Gatson is still involved in the creative direction of the visuals and performances my expectations aren't too high.

Hopefully the music and her voice will carry on its own and reach the masses. That's really all she needs anyway

!!! I don't like Frank Gatson at all but I'm ready to hear her too. A lot of people in her position could retire but she thankfully still loves to sing and record music. She hasn't had to perform in front of a true audience since covid hit so it'll be interesting to see how or if she will elevate her live shows. The Broadway show that i saw her in was one of the best performances i have ever seen in person.

I think the same top 40 pop stations that play AIWFCIY and the Kelly song every year would play a banger Brandy Christmas song. Might take years to grow but I just want a Christmas banger regardless of how it does commercially.
