I think he's lying about Diddy being involved. He has talked about how he thought it wasn't fair Pac attacked his cousin that night and that's why he got killed. It sounds like revenge to me. There's no way in those couple of hours between the fight in the lobby and the murder that they could have contacted Diddy and he would somehow tell them to murder Pac.

He was involved in a different case and gave information about the murder of Pac which was protected (he couldn't get sued for his confessions). However, what he didn't realize is that interviews afterwards and publishing a book is not part of this deal. He really thought that he couldn't be sued for the murder, that's why he overshared. It's really stupid honestly. He did a lot of interviews, some are contradicting each other so take statements he makes with a grain of salt.

I also feel like there's a possibility that he is the shooter since the cousin got injured before the murder and had to go to the hospital later to check his arm. There was a different person who was going to shoot Pac but decided that he couldn't do it. If they were already discussing that a different person would take revenge this could mean the cousin was too injured to shoot himself.
