finally called up comcast/xfinity today and let them know what's what

oh i had the time to wait today. i MADE the time.
was so tempted to hang up and say fuck this shit ill do it later but i stuck in there.



i was very polite with the person who assisted ...but i was still very stern.
i simply laid out the facts to her. not my feelings.

fact 1 - constant outages which led me to seek other services available in my area
fact 2 - found one last year (verizon home 5G), and now have two internet services in my home. comcast and verizon
fact 3 - verizon's service is twice as fast, more reliable and half the price
fact 4 - it's no longer reasonable for me to pay $170 for internet when I'm barely using it anymore. comcast has now become my BACKUP internet.
fact 5 - one service will have to go eventually, and based on the above facts - it's not gonna be verizon.

everything i laid out to her was VERIFIABLE and MEASURABLE. not just me screaming and cursing and saying "lower my bill bitch!"

PLUS a $50 credit to my most current bill for my inconveniences.

the person who assisted me today said it was "rare" to get someone on the line as nice as i was.
i was VERY intentional in watching my tone with her. even as speaking about my inconveniences with this company poked at my emotions a bit.

just goes to show when the FACTS are strong enough to speak for themselves, there's no need to yell curse and get aggressive.

i live in the center of atlanta

but comcast is notoriously shitty.

verizon is actually delivering the type of reliable service you'd expect living in the area i'm in

i work from home so it's not a bad idea to have a back up...and im willing to keep Xfinity as just that
but not for $170.  i cannot justify that. i felt like a fuckin dummy - especially considering how inconsistent their service is.

i can live with them being a backup/standby tea for $77.

These companies have been getting bold lately tho. I was otp with Verizon a few weeks ago threatening to cancel bc I pay too much but the service has been sub but the bitch on the line told me she'd help me close out my account.

Many people in my building don't know about Verizon's mess yet. And are under the impression that Comcast is the only option. But that can change lolz

I haven't read the entire post but why is your internet $170? I honestly thought most was between $55-80? That's fucked up.
