what kind of place r u offering thats not attracting high quality tenants

plus, many times when people have gone that long without paying rent, they've found a way to justify their mess - which usually is having a bad landlord/property...needing repairs, etc.

Tenants can't just withhold  rent. They have to go through escrow court until repairs are made. I dealt with that twice and of course they didn't have the rent money to fund an escrow account with.  you'd be surprised at how many tenants are scammers. Even the ones who look good on paper. Professional renters is what I call them. Then the eviction process is HELL. Most landlords prefer to work with tenants rather than evict because it's so costly and time consuming.

Cardi's ass is probably renting to family or friends though....

when I say "justify their mess" I meant personally. Not as in it being upheld and acknowledged as valid by the court.

But Finding things that can make them feel better about dodging rent - whether it be good cause or not.

How long a tenant can play games also varies greatly by location .

The courts up north/NYC are definitely more relaxed on tenants than in the south.

In many parts of the south, if rent is late by a few days the sheriff will def be dragging ur sofa owt to the curb in no time .

It's very landlord-leaning .

So I'm pretty sure she may be renting up north and that's part of the issue for her . It is notoriously hard for landlords to evict tenants in places like NYC - especially when children are involved .
