AGREED! it's exactly what i just told someone the other day. That vocal Bible thing is really sumn that has hindered brandy because now she just won't allow herself to really just BE. It's all about keeping up and honoring this title

she sings about how tough of a time she was having on b7 though. It was obviously more to it than just what was on the surface. Lucid Dreams sounds like one of her many testimonies, looking at the lyrics too.

Idk if you remember her instagram captions from after it happened, but she went at the MD and his wife and was pretty blunt about some of what was happening, she just didn't share every little thing. Then they got back at her or beat her to the punch by putting the pre-record stuff in the headlines. I don't doubt their side of the story and stuff because i don't know everything but Kindred and 2 other members have confirmed a lot of this when it happened.

I bring up Lashawn and the crash because i'm speaking about Brandy's mental health and all she may have been going through that entire year. Remember the Miami show that has mostly been scrubbed from the internet?    She was going through hell. It looked like a breakdown and God only knows what else. I bring ALL of this up because it's all connected when we speak about the year 2019. Some of the members gleefully recall that year and want to still drag her for it and i get that but without context, it just looks weird and mean. She was likely just as distraught as the fans were, if not more so. I'm sure she wanted to make us all happy the way she's trying to please the fans right now.

It's wrong to cancel shows and not be transparent about what took place, why, and not apologize. Trust me i make no excuses for anything like that. I just think that woman deserves a bit of slack and grace in some areas that we may not have full context on, as much as the fans deserve an apology and explanation to this day. A little more understanding would be nice, due to the nuance of it all. That's all i'm saying. The b7 album is full of metaphors and such but there's a lot in those lyrics that provide bits and pieces of how we literally could have lost her for good, from the industry or worse. Maybe one day she'll be brave enough and feel healed enough to tell the world all that she has seen and been through over the course of her life and career. I'm hoping she writes that book one day!
