Beyonc?'s clothing is part of what makes her image for her whole career. When you think of her, you get the glittered leotard, a bit of cleavage, long hair swinging and dancing the HELL out of her high heels. Why change something that is part of what makes her "Beyonc?, the greatest entertainer on earth"??
Nobody told Michael to get rid of his 1 sparkly glove and his tall white socks with his black shoes, even though the combo broke EVERY fashion rule out there. It was HIS signature look. When you think of him, you have that image.
Same could be said with Elvis and his horrid bedazzled white jump suit. They weren't out here to please the people who waited for their downfall or just wanted to find SOMETHING to pick at, they gave an image that people could ALL remember as part of their legacy. And Beyonc? being the greatest living entertainer shouldn't stop NOW what has made her Beyonc? because of what a few Brandy source Queens think, she is gonna KEEP you thinking about her...
Ummmm Michael's image was definitely signature but it DID evolve! Michael during Off the Wall dressed nothing like Michael during BAD. He wore those glittery jackets for a era and revisited it from time to time. Its easy to reflect back and think thats all he wore because those were his most Iconic looks.
Beyonce is also in a different era and time. Elvis and Michael didnt have social media and bloggers capturing their every move. The repetition of their style was easily sustained because it wasnt getting the same level of coverage. If Elvis wore a sparkely one piece in Paris, the people he performed for in Vegas had no clue. So it was new to them, and every crowd there after. Beyonce's fashion sense is predictable and boring. If she wants to elevate something that would be the most noticable refresh button she could press. You can maintain your personal style and still move forward (Diana Ross!!!!)
