Back then i was fuming because i use to LOVE Human and I was like "WTF is she talking about? The album is GOOD".

She was just MAD for the commercial success because that's something she look for validation, and it's wrong because numbers don't have nothing to do with the quality of the album
We see shitty albums on top of the billboard all the time so ....

I think when artists are in those "promotion" tour, they say things like that because you can't say you hate your album. How can people buy your music if you say you don't like it ?

Of course they can't. My point if she didn't truly believe in the project why didn't she speak up when she was in the process of creating it. She herself said she didn't listen to her gut when making it and allowed everyone else's opinions to interfere.

People won't buy your music if you don't believe in it. And that was very transparent even when she saying it was her best.

Of course they can't. My point if she didn't truly believe in the project why didn't she speak up when she was in the process of creating it. She herself said she didn't listen to her gut when making it and allowed everyone else's opinions to interfere.

That part, because why even record something you aren't necessarily feeling, let alone submit it to the label? It was some personal shade with Rodney, I feel, and hopefully she will fully divulge it when she writes her book.

Rodney gave interviews after Human came out and he said if he was given full Control like he wanted to, everything would have been different from the packaging and the sound. He said he even offered to manage her but she choose to go to Epic instead. I totally get why his feelings are hurt.

From what I remember The label kinda made her record some inspirational mess cuz they felt it was most appropriate after the accident.

Kinda how she is now tbh. Hope she's ok. She may just be at a crossroads with the music industry but there is a lane out there for her. And it includes firing her team. Lol.

She needs a new team. Definitely someone with some clout and that can make some shit happen for her.  I'm going to look for that Rodney interview....
