I don't think she was a ghost writer. I think she was being polite and Missy probably didn't give her the publishing she was due for these songs.

Why split the pie when you can take advantage of an artist who had been waiting for her moment for so long.

She seems very shy and not one to stand up for herself. She was also probably just glad to finally have music out and when you have someone like Missy backing you can you turn around and say I wrote this hook and contributed to this song and I want my publishing?
