Quote from: Justice Jackson on February 08, 2024, 11:59:54 AMMonique really be doing too much. Most people have character flaws including her.

It's too easy to take what she says and attack people because maybe we don't like them or they have done bad things in the past. That doesn't mean everybody is trying to destroy her. We've all been mistreated and the entertainment industry is disgusting in general. What are we supposed to do with all her grievances? I mean it's cute to gossip and indulge in the mess but this isn't going to undo anything or make people work with her

Well if you watch the full interview she said,

Ppl keep asking me to get over it and stop talking about it. I will when the they make it right

She has every right to go on every show she wants to, to voice her feelings on it. She was slighted and it has been proven so even more with the Taraji stuff .

Also the fact  that  Lee Daniel's said he was wrong and he fucked up and apologized also proves her right

I mean, you're right. She can do that

But also I'm not obligated to support a damns festivus every time I see her. Since when is it normal to demand apologies and compensation for every slight or wrong someone has done to us? Adulthood brings more wisdom than that. I never said I don't believe her, but Monique isn't really trying to get better treatment for all black women, just better treatment for herself. She goes after specific individuals for specific things.

And that's fine but it's petty and exhausting. If you fuck over me, I don't want anything else to do with you.
Ketanji Jackson has come this far by faith.

Ketanji Brown will still beatcho ass.

Every time someone doesn't agree with this bitter hag, here y'all go. Uncle Tom! Coon!

Very much so giving me Monique when someone pushes back against her and doesn't blindly accept what she's saying as the gospel.

Then they're a house slave and mess.

Please come up with something else.

You really have to read between the lines when listening to Monique.

She gave Oprah the green light to film the segment with her brother. Then she got mad at Oprah for having other family members on the show. Hello?!? That's how show production works. How can we make this segment as interesting and engaging as possible? You think Oprah has the time to phone Monique every step of the way when putting that segment together? Monique should be mad at her mom and whoever else went on Oprah.

Also, I don't like Kevin Hart, but I don't blame him for not wanting to work with her. And I don't blame Kevin for telling Monique what she wanted to hear over the phone, because she could've been recording him just like she did Tyler Perry!

I actually understand both sides when it comes to Oprah and Kevin. Well when it comes to Oprah doing the show and Kevin not wanting to work with her.

Well, that is just your opinion that you should not demand apologies or compensation. IF she just played the game when Netflix said NO that would go against what she is about and she would have missed out on a payday.

Also of COURSE she is trying to get fair treatment for herself.  That is the MAIN point right?

What she is doing, is bring to light the unfair treatment of black actresses in the industry.  By speaking up she is also letting other black girls know that it IS ok to speak up and not remain silent when you're getting fair treatment.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease, as they say.
