Especially since the Kanye thing. I still remember her trying to say she was like 12 when his first album came out in 2004, when if she was born in 1989 like she says then she was more like 14-15. She was 2 months from turning 20 when then VMAs incident happened but ppl act like she was a kid in high school or something. Just shows what Yt privilege is

But I think the main difference with Taylor and Britney is that the internet has really segregated music genres. In Britney's time we would watch MTV and see Black and White artists playing their videos all day. Sometimes white ppl even came on BET if the music was urban enough.
But now everyone just streams whatever music they want so you're not gonna hear Taylor unless you look for her

I can agree with this.  I never thought she could SING necessarily but she's definitely had songs that i thought ahe sounded really good on
