I think it's dope how Cardi has been omnipresent since her debut and remained a mainstream girl off one album. You don't see that alot from rap artist, most be forcing albums out every 16/18 months to stay relevant.

well to be fair she has been pushing her 2nd album back since 2019 or so.. its not like she hasnt wanted to release an album she wants to she just cant get the right song cause they all keep flopping to the pits of hell.

I see your point, but I don't think she's been seriously planning the follow up. There could be some self doubt, or just wisely staying with the times. You don't have to release albums as much today. She's still been consistently on the radio with her singles without an album.

I do agree with you about the timing though,  I honestly thought Wap/Up! Were going to be start of a new era for Cardi for sure.

yep!! she is def a little nervous.  she even said so on the breakfast club. she is worried about how its gonna sell and what ppl are gonna think.  I personally feel, the longer she waits the higher the expectations. cause you been waiting this long it SHOULD be a master piece. 

I hope that's the plan. Cardi deserves some classics and not just some 'With The Times' bops.
