people request gifts from others all the time for special occasions.

like, someone sharing their registry for their wedding/baby shower

there's not only an expectation that you spend money for their special moment, but get exact things that are on the list.
and go to the exact store they want you to - whether its a huge inconvenience to you or not.

i think it's just become more socially acceptable to do that, and maybe people are uncomfortable with cashapp being more "to the point" perhaps ?
i feel thats where the "tacky" feel comes from. it just may feel too direct for some people.

honestly i can appreciate when someone i love prefers cashapp. huge time saver of trying to find gifts that they may or may not like or use. or placing orders online which can take minutes instead of seconds.

just send a coin and keep it moving. and they're super happy and it's exactly what they want.
everyone can use money - even if it's just saving it somewhere.

if anything i hope it becomes more socially acceptable to do that in more instances/occasions.

Significant Discovery: First known Black American family of Kalmyk descent

Takeaways: Be prepared to pivot, even when you think you're on the right track. Be OK with being wrong so you can get things right.

Kalmyks are tribal Mongolic people who settled in Russia. It's estimated that only 300,000 Kalmyk descendants exist worldwide - with only 3,000 in America.
