They are not but skin color is so irrelevant with these types of things  People are so extra!

The TSR comments were similar. People kept bring up how different her complexion is from Halle. I even saw people mention the conversation she had with Kelly Rowland when she mentioned Kelly's complexion during another conversation they had when they were teenagers. It is ridiculous. Its like everything Brandy does or says is always under scrutiny. It must be exhausting for her.

 I would like for her to do a sit down interview with Essence magazine or a documentary style interview similar to what Beyoncé has done where she puts all misconceptions about herself that the public has created to rest. I want her to control her own narrative instead of the public doing it for her.

All press is not good press especially if it pertains to misconceptions about you. You don't want to be part of the conversation where negativity is concerned. And yes she has been under worse scrutiny but the solution would be to control your own narrative so that those conversations would lessen. It makes me think of Kelly Rowland who for years individuals have come at her sideways and it was not until she stood up for herself that people have somewhat stopped. I'm not saying people will never have an unflattering opinion when it comes to Brandy that is to be expected given that she is a celebrity. What I am saying is that it will change a lot of people's perceptions of her.
