I don't think anyone here on the board is seriously considering voting for Trump (I hope not), but we'd be lying if we said that the optics don't matter. They clearly do. Especially when two 80-year-olds are running to be the leader of this country.
Those of us who are plugged into politics know what's going on, but many Americans aren't engaged like that. So they just go off the highlights or the most mainstream info. Biden's age and condition have been used against him in the media, and this debate didn't help one bit. He basically just gave them more ammo to use against him.
Unfortunately the optics matter more than we'd like. Especially with swing voters.
