i always wonder what makes people say things like "she just light skin, her features are basic though lol"

ive noticed that many times those types of comments are directed to lighter skin Black people with broader/larger features. Aaron seems to fit that bill..beautiful larger lips, flat/wider nose, etc.

colorism is def a thing but featurism is a thing too.

not saying that ur doing this at all, as i dont know the exact reasoning behind ur comment

It means that they think the person wouldnt be so universally foine if these identical features were on a darker black person. I see it here, myself a little. There's no doubt he's attractive, actually striking, the broadness of it all, but still .... sharp? . But to me has that same Civil Rights look they clowned Jonathan Majors for having. I can see why some think he's drop dead gorgeous.... but I can also see how someone would say "its just the eyes/skin"
