Quote from: Gilgamesh. on September 21, 2024, 06:31:50 AMIt's funny cause I randomly watched an old episode of their show on YT last week, and Tia was saying she didn't want MAGA to "lose her identity in her marriage", cause she had stopped auditioning for like six months.

Now she's the one divorced and on the outs with her sister.

and what does her being divorced have to do with her not wanting ger sister to lose her identity in the marriage? which is kinda exactly what happened

I like Tia (way more than Tamera btw) and obviously Corey was a deadbeat but if she played the stepford wives role like Tamera her marriage may have lasted a bit longer. I'm not saying it's right but speaking objectively, she was critical of Tamera and Adam's dynamic but they're the ones still married. And now Tia doesn't have a husband or a good relationship with her sister either.

kinda hard to play stepford wife when u the one paying the bills

sfksfkmsfkmfkmsksfmkssffs

if we're really talking traditional... stereotypical roles, ur kinda the "man" of the relationship

i'd say kandi is someone who actively tries to fill both roles - of main breadwinner and tryna be the "perfect wife" but even with her trying to do that, because she's so driven and successful...and paid... it still causes issues for them.

From her mama dragging Todd for being less than, to Todd saying she does too much, while he benefits from all her work

Tamera's husband comes from money and can provide. It's much easier to fall in line with a "stepford wife" role when u have a husband like that.

Ultimately Tia chose the wrong man. And it took her a minute to realize that
Project started: 2014
Wrapped up: 2024

Significant Discovery: First known Black American family of Kalmyk descent

Takeaways: Be prepared to pivot, even when you think you're on the right track. Be OK with being wrong so you can get things right.

Kalmyks are tribal Mongolic people who settled in Russia. It's estimated to be only 300,000 Kalmyk descendants worldwide - with only 3,000 in America.

I know, like keep your family issues private, you don't have to tell the whole world what's going on in your fam

It's a reality show. Now if she starts trash talking her sister and revealing detailed arguments/mess then ok. But simply saying you're not close with your sister is basic surface level transparency you'd expect here.

I'm glad that Tia didn't let outside perceptions keep her in a marriage that wasn't working.

Yea or agreeing to remain enslaved for the sake of keeping your marriage together. Some people are into giving up their freedom, some aren't.

I actually agree, that's why I said speaking objectively. Cause with context, Tia did what she had to do and Tamera has been playing bed wench for years.

I mean, Brandi Maxiell still married too and her marriage ain't no goddam PRIZE either. I think Tia was just trying to protect her sister from potential challenges she was experiencing in her own marriage; Tamera was a newly wed at the time. If Tamera is content with being a house SLAVE that's only allowed outside for Christmas time, then I love that for her. But Tia WASNT and I don't think Tamera is either.

But happy marriage!
