You wanted another "Survivor"!? Maybe you are white  :ermm:

Yes I had to let it marinate a bit (it sounded more mature to me), I also wanted a Survivor album..but I love it now. I guess when I was a kid that was the moment I started stanning and I wanted that nostalgia.

It also took me a while to get into the debut, there are some really underrated tracks on there.

Another Survivor? :udontlookok:

Don't get me wrong when Survivor first came out I wore it out but that album has aged horribly outside the singles and a few songs if that.

Destiny Fulfilled was a little too short for my liking but that what makes the album perfect it isn't weigh down with fillers like Survivor was tbh. Each song flowed into each other except Bad Habit. That song threw me for a loop. Everything else was perfect; the maturity, the growth, their lyrics, the production, etc.

Their debut album was a bit too mature for them at that age but it does have some good songs on there. Just way beyond their age range.

I agree with you, Survivor didn't age well.

Bad Habit sounded like a Ms Kelly solo track, but it's okay..sometimes it gets stuck in my head, I still enjoy it. DF was cohesive and they really knew what they were doing. I feel like the debut had some good singles and underrated soulful tracks, but they were definitely still searching for their own identity. Second Nature>>>>

TWOTW is my favorite album, no skips.

The Writing's On The Wall is overrated imo. I enjoy it. It is a great album but it suffers from uneven songwriting at times and some of the songs sound a bit dated.

Listening to some of these Scott Storch leftovers, I think they could have released another album before DF.

RAY7

They should use the Let's Do Us song now. Add a Toya and Tavia verse and it would be perfect. I love the SWV interpolation

DF is def DC3's best album. She's The Reason & Love>>>>

Somebody definitely didn't want to see Michelle be great. This should have been a single cause she brought it home for the clubs!!!

i didn't get into this album outside the singles until i was older, i think it was too mature, but it's a really solid project
