she could call it angel in disguise

BUT

i have a problem with that, and ive always taken issue with that title/line. an angel in disguise is someone who is an angel but they're disguised as something else. so i never understood why she referred to the girl that stole her man as an "angel in disguise". when, in fact, she was a wolf in sheep's clothing

but anyway "angel in disguise" (used in the proper context) would work for the memoir -- granted the things she says actually give "angel" teas

that title used to confuse me too

But I think GHan was saying HE thought she was an Angel in disguise .

Like he thought she was this heaven-sent woman when she wasn't

Kinda teasing/mocking him and his perception. Not GHan calling her an Angel

Angel in disguise can simply mean an angel disguised by regular human form

The "disguise" doesn't have to be/mean something negative. The phrase doesn't have to reference a stark contrast like "wolf in sheep's clothing" does

The song makes sense to me once I saw it this way.  But if others continue to see "angel in disguise" as a reference to a strong and OBVIOUS contrast like "wolf in sheep's clothing" that's up to them 🤷🏾
