It's funny but its also socially conscious af. Ahead of it's time

They even dug a lot into social issues on the "Wayans bros" tv show

An episode that comes to mind is the rich white woman who wanted to use her influence to take advantage of Shawn sexually. Giving "Mandingo" teas

It was funny but there was def a clear undertone of consciousness - especially considering Shawn wasn't receptive to her advances. They painted her to be a predator.
