She sounds and looks good but I don't know if I like the theme 🥴... a late 90s/y2k theme would've hit better b/c that's more of her bag... NSN/pre-FM vibes, this theme works better for the class right before her SWV, Mary, TLC, or Xscape... when I think of OG Brandy I don't think of that Cross Colors wave... this is giving a better executed 90s day at school or at a house party

So it is unfortunate for Brandy that back n the day her jealousy & her mama got in the way of them not being able to be in the midst of 30 years friendship

Mons has her flaws but she is pretty loyal to her friends
Brandy needs a steady gf like that & mons is the only woman on earth that has some of the same life experiences.
Brandy is always in a better place when she has some homegirls especially around her age. So I hope she doesn't mess this up

I think the friendship has also helped Monica to be softer and more patient. She's alluded to that.

I also agree that Monica has been that balancing presence she needed. It seems like brandy was isolated and alone for too long and the people who were around were weak or not there for the right reasons

Hopefully this new confidence and revitalized energy can translate into bringing in new faces and taking small risks, but maintaining healthy boundaries. I think she could be making some fire music right now

The videos don't even fully do it justice, was there live and Brandy blew the MF roof of that bih.  Her set was so damn different than normal that it had you anticipating what new she was going to do! When she performed put it down everybody was so excited. She looked amazing, the mic was on at certain appropiate points and she sounded amazing. I was super proud of her and proud of her to be a star. It was an huge opportunity for her it was wall to wall people there and she went right before HOV so people wanted to be there to get good seats and etc.

I think its time for Brandy to enter a "Singles" era ... A full album roll out is a huge undertaking. A single is a different story. I think it's time Brandy focus on one song at a time for a while. I'd love to see her consistently dropping singles and videos as a solo and featured artist.

ALSO .... I think the real Brandy magic has happened when she's joined forces with new / undiscovered producers and song writers. Darkchild provided that for a minute. Mike City provided that. James Fauntleroy provided that.

I think Brandy has so much more to offer music and by being a leader into new sounds is her best path forward. Don't try to compete or copy or reproduce any other sounds or vibes.

I keep hearing Brandy singing over a "stomp and holler" "americana" ... Beggin & Pleading meets KALEO "Way Down We Go"

I can imagine Brandy filling this Pop Rock Political Uprising Freedom sounds vibe that leads the way to change.
