I kinda think this is a corny way to incorporate the old cast. Somehow these people know u secretly killed someone 20 years ago and they're coming to you for advice on how to handle it? 
And the killer better not be the son of a son or some silly shit. Idk but ion like it already

Well by the end of the first movie it was no longer a secret right? So everyone knows

It was a big deal in the movie so I'm sure Julie wrote a book about it and is now an Annalise keating type of character, helping the gorls and stuff. So it's possible they go to her


Not any different than how they try to include the original characters in scream or lauri stroud in the Halloween franchise

This movie is a legacy sequel to the original 1997 movie. Which her character has nothing to do with.
