So I just finished the album

There were a few songs I liked on the album, but more than half of these songs were filler

1. Dead
2. Bodega Baddie
3. Salute
4. Safe (ft. Kehlani)
5. Man Of Your Word
6. Pretty & Petty

Only 6 good songs out of 23 songs is a horrible ratio. This should've been an EP rather than an album. This album was not worth the 7 year wait and would've been more appreciated if released in 2020/2021 after she put out WAP and Up.

This album highlights her weakness as a rapper and lyricist. Many of the songs have good production/engineering, but she couldn't bring these songs to life due to her limited skill set. I actually wish Nicki had a few of these beats because she would've ate down.

Case in point:

Both of these songs share the same subject matter and share the same feature (Lourdiz)... but only one of these songs are fun.

Nicki knew how to use her clever wordplay and great flow to make this generic song FUN. Cardi doesn't have that skill.

Wish Like What made the album

Not gonna lie, I kinda doubted Cardi could do it again but she made another great album... And the promo for this era has been amazing, it feels organic. I haven't seen girls do televised sit down  interviews in years or meet & greet/album signings. The only thing missing is some late night show performances.
