im sure if she decided to waste time , energy and money taking it to court ... they could successfully argue that they have just as much ownership in the name considering their image/likeness and names are attached to the Danity Kane brand
and although she came up with the name, she'd have to produce actual legal paperwork showing that she owns it (especially considering it was used and associated with a group of other people for years)...i wouldn't be surprised if legally...Diddy owns it in some way , and he was the one who kinda just "let them" use it since he squeezed everything he wanted out of it already.
he had to have filed some sort of protection for the name once they made it official, and im sure Dawn wasn't gonna challenge him and ensure she had her proper stake at the time considering she had stars in her eyes and owed him money from that contract he bought her out of before she joined DK.
i do see there were trademarks for merchandising filed in 2008 by Peter Rosenthal...a big shot entertainment attorney in NYC. I'm almost certain he was representing Diddy/Bad Boy considering his profile and location. Trademarks were abandoned/canceled but it's leading me to believe Dawn may not have actual paperwork on the name.
if i were her i'd simply give a "chile..." mess and keep it moving too. they'll be disbanded again next month again anyway
